BIO
Marc Alexander
Marc Alexander has worked in the TV and Film industry for over 20 years. He began his career as an Editor for a local News station in Baltimore Maryland and then went on to be the Director/Producer of the Non-profit arm of the United Negro College Fund Special Programs division. At UNCFSP, Marc created several training videos in collaboration with NASA to train students from underserved populations across the United States. This collaboration yielded (4) hour long Project Management training videos called the “Comanche Project.” These modules are still utilized by NASA to this day. He acted as both Writer and Director on this project.
Marc would later lend his services as an Independent Director/Producer to the Department of Labor, creating over (15) training modules on OSHA Safety, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Farm Worker Safety. At DOL, Marc worked closely with the Communications Director under the Secretary of Labor and frequently assisted the Department with developing more cutting edge methods to capture and visualize their training materials.
In 2019, Marc again took on the challenge of creating training videos, but this time for USAID. He partnered with RTI International to create training modules that would be used across different global USAID installations. He acted as both Writer/Producer and Director on this project. Because of budget restraints, he was tasked with creating a globally diverse training module that replicated conditions on the ground at USAID offices in Ukraine, Ethiopia, Mexico and India. He utilized the rich diversity of Washington D.C to achieve this goal and was awarded the MarCom Gold Award for Micro Learning Videos for his efforts.
He credits his early work as a local News Editor for his mantra “Get it done.”
Marc holds a bachelor’s degree in Television Production from Morgan State University, where he was the valedictorian of his graduating class after receiving a perfect 4.0 GPA at matriculation. He also holds a master’s degree in Film and Electronic Media from the American University in Washington D.C.
He lives in Montgomery County, Maryland with his wife, three children and Boston Terrier. He enjoys fishing and the great outdoors.
